Ahead of the holiday shopping season, TrueData – a leading provider of mobile audience data and analytics – conducted an industry analysis of the five top retail apps to uncover insights and determine meaningful correlations to help inform targeting and programmatic strategies for publishers, brand marketers, and ad tech companies and agencies. This analysis was performed across a robust network of over 450+ apps, capturing deterministic data directly through S2S or SDK integrations, and captured directly from users (as opposed to being modeled or collected through the bid-stream).

In addition to working closely with the Product Team to analyze the intelligence collected, I led the content strategy efforts to translate the insights into digestible, easy-to-understand data points that told interesting – and sometimes unpredictable – stories, and identified clear, actionable steps brands, pubs, and agencies could take to optimize their targeting strategies.

The report served as the cornerstone piece of the campaign, and other promotional components included press coverage, a series of infographic ads (organic and paid/display), email outreach (including nurtures, drips, and newsletters), and LI marketing, with the rest of the campaign being rounded out with blog posts featuring mini-stories around the data, and related case studies.
