As an official entry into this year's Crash The Super Bowl Contest, I produced and starred in the Doritos spot, "Bring Out Your Wild Side", where a mother and daughter show an unsuspecting boyfriend what truly lurks within a Sweet n' Spicy bag...check out production stills from the shoot and click on the logo to the right to watch the spot!
In the feature film adaptation of the award-winning stage play by Ntozake Shange, Tyler Perry has taken on the challenge of bringing a truly riveting series of stories together, which paint a true rainbow of life struggles experienced by a group of seemingly unrelated women. Playing the role of Katina, I was honored to have been able to work with the likes of veteran actors and actresses whose careers I have followed for the amazing work they have produced. Mr. Perrys direction took on a fluid, seamless process which brought out the very best of each performance and stayed true to the rich narrative of which the film is based. Slated to be released in January 2011, For Colored Girls promises to deliver a star-studded portrayal of inspirational stories.
Welcome to the wonderful world of LARPing (aka Life Action Role Playing) - an alternate universe where escaping from the everyday to explore your other self happens with the utmost of dedication. A series comprised of short hilarious episodes follows the adventures of four damsel players that find themselves in the midst of an attack within their made-up world of middle earth. A true-to-life glimpse into this increasingly popular and fast-growing pastime, the series began as an online actors showcase and quickly transformed into a whole other animal. True LARPing fans will appreciate its authenticity, and others new to the genre will be utterly entertained with its deviation from our reality. Enjoy Damsels & Dragons at www.larpingtheseries.com !
This had to be the one of the most fun interviews Ive done yet: hanging out backstage with The Dear Hunter at the famous Avalon was, to be blunt, a helluva time. With the release of the third album installment of a six-part concept series, TDH were clearly at their best and definitely in good spirits as we chatted about everything from the evolution of love to where to find the best burritos. Sprinkled in with lots of laughs, we chewed over Act III: Life and Death and its sometimes simple-effortless, sometimes complex-orchestral feel. As we lounged together before their first performance at the Avalon, I realized how lucky I was to be hanging with such solidly comfy guys - and how much I loved their sound, both on and off their albums. And were only half-way through their saga...
In another interview for the MishMashMagazine.com, progressive rock band Dredg took some time to talk to me before their show at the historic El Rey about their fourth studio album, The Pariah, The Parrot, The Delusion.
A very chill sit-down with some very cool cats, Dredg shared a bit about their tour experience, a special upcoming concert with Salman Rushdie and their artistic personal projects.
Mazzolas Diner, a new animated series from the producer of Little Miss Badass, Which Witch and Oedipuss, comically follows the lives of a mommas boy, a crazed cook and a controlling waitress through their daily adventures in a local diner. As the character voice of Bing, I had a great time bringing an off-the-wall, ambiguously ethnic cook to life--one of the most fun experiences Ive had in developing a character.
Premiering online, and specifically geared towards web viewing, the series will capitalize on the new media trend that has emerged as a means for unlimited worldwide viewing. A unique and fresh new series, Mazzolas Diner promises to be a hilarious ride into the wacky world of greasy spoon absurdity.
In this interview for the popular online publication, MishMashMagazine.com, I caught up with Daniel Ash (Love and Rockets, Bauhaus) and got a feel for motorcycles, Tom Jones and merry ole England.
MishMashTV hooked up with Ash at the pre-release party in Los Angeles for New Tales To Tell, a phenomenal L&R tribute album produced by Christopher The Minister. The album showcases covers of L&R hits, as well as lesser known tracks, submitted by an eclectic mix of musicians that includes the likes of Black Francis, The Flaming Lips, Blaqk Audio, Dubfire and Puscifer.

The year is 2010 (crazy that this could be NOW) and there are only a few survivors after an infectious outbreak mutates the population...a few brave soldiers and a small group of mysterious vigilantes are all that remain. Held up in a deserted and remote shack, the two groups come face to face with the threat -- and lose more of their friends in the process.
Most of everything we know has been destroyed beyond recognition. We are taken through an unfolding of the events that have led up to this point, to begin a true investigation into the human spirit to survive.
Below is a short demo reel that briefly demonstrates a few dramatic projects and a short comedic reel that shows clips for my series, Damsels & Dragons. A candid interview with splices of footage that gives an insight to my performance-based background is found HERE
I've found that with each stage of my life, I've transformed as an Artist. The consistency has always been the subtle poetry I've insisted on weaving throughout each stroke of the brush, each snap of the camera, each manipulation of an image. The play on dualities, multiple interpretations and simplicity through an established perspective are all methods I find myself continuously drawn to.

Although classically trained on the flute and piccolo, my experiences have taken me from Tri-State Symphonies to hard-core Marching Bands to freelance funky jams over a cool groove. Whether it's playing rhythm guitar, laying down flute loops or soul singing, I am enthralled with the world of music. Since my musical tastes vary from every imaginable realm of the spectrum, I find my ear can adapt to most every genre to find the beauty within it.
